There are many reasons for these fatalities such as drivers driving while intoxicated, inadequate roads that cannot accommodate increased traffic demands as well as distracted drivers. In response, the Gloucester County Highway Safety Task Force was formed. The Task Force has joined law enforcement officials, public servants, private businesses and residents to find solutions to the issues facing drivers and passengers, cyclists and pedestrians traveling on Gloucester County's roads.
